Ahoy! How is everybody? In case you do not know, I’m back in Miri now hehehehe. Been back since Monday so this my *counts 1, 2, 3…* oh my 4th day in Miri already! Loving it so far – not having to worry about work at all! What a blessing!
I flew with RBA on Monday morning and while I was checking in at the counter, a lady offered me to fly 2 days later on Wednesday and that they’d let me fly with business class and compensate me with $150! I rejected her offer lah, ‘cos I know for sure my mum would be yelling at me over the phone for being so stupid. All because she wants to see me as soon as possible. Awww…… Oh, and the reason why they wanted me to fly 2 days later was because the flight was fully booked. After I got my boarding pass, I didn’t even notice that I was seated at the 2nd last row of the plane! Major T_T
But the flight itself was okay, in spite of a seriously-damn-full plane. Guess it’s always better to have a full plane during a daytime flight compared to a nighttime one. It just feels less creepy. I tend to link nighttime full planes to plane crashes more in my mind. Yikes!
SO. What have I been doing besides eating? Visiting my newborn baby cousin, aunts, uncles & grandma. Those baby Mary Janes fit! I was quite afraid that they’d be too small for her. Luckily they fit her tiny feet. We’re gonna have a big dinner at home tomorrow night, having all my mum’s relatives over to have an early birthday celebration for my brother. He has been trying to annoy me non-stop since I arrived. I have no idea WHY but I guess he just craves for my attention hence the annoying attitude. -_-
Okay, I have to go now. The brother is chanting for me to leave the room so he can use the computer. -_- Bai!
It’s Christmas! Merry Christmas everyone! How did you guys celebrate your Christmas? My Christmas Day was spent at home having instant noodles for breakfast lunch & watching Christmas movies on the tele.
We then went to church for Christmas Day Mass and I was asked if I could do the 2nd reading for the day! Thank God I didn’t fall down or misread and say something extremely dumb and make a total fool of myself! Phew~
Had a quiet little Christmas dinner at home with Wing Kin. I cooked lamb stew and prepared some salad. We both ended up really full!
After dinner, we headed to South Perth for some photos since we haven’t taken photos together for quite some time. We’re always busy with our own things nowadays. Anyway, the ‘photoshoot’ was short and fun – lasted for only about 15 minutes or so, lol.
We wanted to kiss under the mistletoe but there wasn’t any. Oh well.
He carried me by surprise in this photo, but had to hold still for 2.5 seconds for the shutter to click. When he put me down, he went, “You’re so heavy.” HAHAHA. I love my boy.
Our next plan was to head to San Churro for a lovely dessert together (sun bian pakto) ‘cos I heard that they’re on a ‘buy 1 get 1 free’ promo today. But guess what lah. After the long drive from South Perth to Freo, parking our car, walking there, we realized that they’re not open!!! Wtf kena cheated T_T
So yeah, I spent my Christmas in simplicity this year but I enjoyed it still 🙂
Let’s also not forget that today is the celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus! Let’s say this little prayer for each other and our loved ones near & far.
We thank you Lord Jesus, for coming into our lives today, showering us with Your love & gifts. May the gifts that we receive, be shared with those we love and also those who are less fortunate than us. Amen.
Have a Blessed Christmas everyone!
Decorated the living room with some Polaroids last night =)
Happy Winter Solstice everyone! I’m missing my mom’s tong yuen terribly now. I can almost smell it in my head but I can’t taste it 😦 I just called home and my sis picked up. She told me everyone’s gathering at our place today – tong yuen for lunch and a feast for dinner. I am so jealous! I’ve always loved family gatherings – all the eating, laughing & playing with kids. *Sniff*
It’s okay… I’m gonna stuff myself silly with tong yuen when I get home, hahahaha. I’m already prepared to put on 5kg for the trip this time.
My mum told me, “Come home and be a queen for a while. Sleep, eat, and just do nothing.” And that, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly what I’m gonna do.
Lookie lookie at what I got from my bosses this year – an iPod Nano!! So apparently my bosses think I’ve been a good girl this year so I get to receive a gift in my Christmas stockings 😛 Thank you bosses! Let’s pray that I will start to like my job in this coming new year… Ho ho ho!
Why pink? My boss figured since I have a pink cell phone, I wouldn’t mind having a pink iPod, hahaha. True that. Don’t mind it actually ‘cos the color’s very vibrant and sui! It has a lot more features compared to the first iPod I bought too. This one can record videos, stream radio (which you can pause & play) and has 8GB capacity. It’s soooo slim that Fi & I were so afraid we’d drop it in between the planks of the jetty while fishing last night.
Oh and 8 more days then I’ll be home. Totally sexxxxxcited! Mama I’m coming home for your love~ ♥
For my newborn baby cousin =) Can’t wait to see her in 2 weeks’ time!
I upgraded my baggage size from 15kg to 25kg for my flight from KL to Perth because an old friend, Stephanie warned me about the impact of a crazy shopping frenzy in KL, hahahaha! I’d rather pay for extra baggage now than to pay for penalty charged per kg at the check-in counter!
Gonna be home in exactly 11 more days! That is SO SOON! I’m totally on a holiday mood now hahahaha. Gonna have our Christmas dinner (or was it lunch) tomorrow and holiday will start next Friday! Yippee! My mom said I should’ve booked my tickets earlier so I wouldn’t miss out on a few dinners & gatherings – my cousin’s 满月 dinner & 冻节 gathering for tong-yuen!
OMG I just witnessed a car chase from my window!!! Some car was speeding and 4-5 police cars were chasing it at full speed. Damn kintio and FF. Fast & Furious, get it? 😆 Some Indian guy saw the scene as well and is now “reporting” to someone on his cellphone. There’s also this other girl screaming in excitement at the other side of the road wtf, lol. So happening one!
Okay, time for me to go fold the mountain of clothes in the bedroom. My living place had been in such a mess since my revision week and I don’t know how much longer can I stand tip-toeing my way to the wardrobe to pick my clothes for the day anymore, hahahahaha. Ciao!
Exam on 15th Dec. Will be busy working & studying the whole week so no updates I suppose.
Meanwhile, my schedule for my coming trip back home:
- 28th Dec to 8th Jan – Miri
- 8th Jan to 11th Jan – KL
Will be staying with my cousin, Siaw Wan while in KL. Mirians and peeps in KL, we should meet up! I’m particularly picky with my plans/schedules for KL though. I just wanna shop, shop, shop while in KL. And I just wanna eat, eat, eat while in Miri. HAHAHA.
I don’t know what phone number I’ll use yet. Gonna get a temporary simcard while I’m back and will update here as soon as I know!
Wish me luck for my exam!
- Sequin headband
- Premium sequin frill neck crop
- Spot frilled skirt
- All over stud glossy leggings
To my fellow heng dai ji mui-s,
I have an announcement to make. I am flying back to Miri in a couple of weeks’ time – on 28th Dec to be exactly, which is 2.5 months earlier than scheduled.
Change of plan because all the staff are forced to take compulsory leave for Christmas and so I was left with 2 options:
- Travel to Sydney with Kin for a Christmas holiday. But I checked the tickets and they cost like friggin’ 800 bucks for a return ticket! WTF. 😡 OR
- Fly home to Miri to enjoy good food, fight with my brother, go shopping with my sister and have my mum tuck me into bed and put me to sleep! 😆
I was contemplating whether to stay or not at first, but as soon as Kin said 800 bucks just on tickets alone are way too expensive, I decided to go home. It’s true though. We’d need to worry about accommodation, meals & other incidental expenses as well. Ga ga mai mai would probably end up spending 2k per person! /gasps
Plus by going back home, I get to fully utilize my leave and not get into a negative leave situation again during Chinese New Year. It’s okay if I don’t get to spend CNY back home this year ‘cos at least Kin’s here with me. In the previous years, my CNYs in Perth were just dreadful! I’d dress myself up in red that day and play pc at home. By myself. How sad right? 😦 Oh but I went visiting with my uncle’s family one year and got lots of angpaos HAHAHAHA.
If things go well, I might drop by KL on my way back to Perth as well, for a day or two. Haven’t been there for YEARS (except during flight transits -_-) so I thought it’d be nice to do some shopping during then. Can anyone please let me know if Carnival Sale is still going on by then? Thankssss in advance!
