Destructive

This is how destructive a puppy can get when it is teething and/or bored. This is the aftermath of Koko in destructive mode. This is the first toy that we bought for Koko – a miniature version of himself, lol. Sadly, the right ear had been completely torn off, there are bite marks on his left ear and holes on his entire body T_T

He also completely destroyed the second toy we got him – a mini tyre. At one point, the carpet in the living room was filled with little black pieces bitten off from the tyre -_- Kin just recently got him a tennis ball-like chew toy and Koko’s already starting to tear it apart. This boy is just so darn destructive!

We have since got him some dental bones to bite and torture instead. Hope those will last him for the next couple of months! *Fingers crossed*

Koko Stays Down

I fell sick this morning. Having a bad case of diarrhea and I’m so glad I didn’t turn up for work today or else I’d be shitting in my pants at work T_T

Slept the whole day through with Koko at home because sleeping sort of keeps the stomach churning away (except for that one time before I woke up this morning. The pain actually woke me up from my sleep T_T).

Also uploaded a video of Koko now understanding the “Down” command, which I took over the weekend 🙂

Kin decided to change his name back to Koko because whenever we tell people his name’s Coco, they think it’s a ‘she’. Awww 😦 Even one of the staffs at a local pet supplies store bent down to look at his genitalia -_-

Enjoy!

What’s Cooking Today: Sarawak Laksa!

Sarawak laksa is one of my favorite Malaysian food and I had my first attempt at cooking this dish today. So glad it turned out successful! However, it nearly killed me when I found out that I accidentally bought the wrong kind of rice vermicelli from the oriental shop this morning. Had a panic attack for a good thirty second before I quickly searched through the pantry to see whether I happen to have any mee hoon on standby or not, hahahaha. And when I saw that ONE packet left in the pantry, I couldn’t thank God enough!

All our stomachs were growling while I took this photo. Wing Kin, my brother and myself were the guinea pigs of this dish, hahaha! So happy that they absolutely loved it 😳

Lo and behold, my very first homemade Sarawak laksa!!! Please ignore the fact that it looks a little messy here. That’s because I already swallowed a few mouthfuls before taking this first photo of it, hahaha!

Latest Splurge: Tan Moccasins

These moccasins from Country Road are so, so very comfortable. I’ve been wearing them almost on a daily basis since I got them.

I’ve been adding a couple of nude colored pieces to my wardrobe since three months ago. It’s a subtle hue but its simplicity whispers elegance and also makes it very easy to wear.

Bedside Tables, Wardrobe & Chrysanthemums

We went to Ikea with Fiona yesterday since Ikea is having their end of financial year sale! What better reason to shop as much as we want? Hehehehe. I finally bought bedside tables as high as the bed and most importantly, a wardrobe. Been living off my suitcase for the past few weeks since I moved in so the hallway and the bedroom were in a total mess, hahaha!

Fiona and I did the most impressive thing ever yesterday, part-assembling the whole wardrobe all by ourselves! Kin was out fishing with my brother and some friends and we girls were left at home, excited with our purchases and thrilled to see the outcome of the assembled products. So instead of waiting for the mister the come home from his favorite pastime, we girls decided to take things into our own hands and surprise the men. Nyehehehe.

Mind you, it wasn’t an easy task, considering how heavy and how tall the wardrobe is! We almost dropped the boxes while carrying them into the bedroom ‘cos we couldn’t stop laughing. And we couldn’t stop laughing because the boxes were really heavy and we thought we weren’t gonna make it. LOL.

But, we managed in the end and heck, we did a hell of an awesome job. Well, up till the nailing part came by. I was in charge of the nailing and so there I was, happy as can be, nailing two pieces of flimsy board to the back of the wardrobe.

When it was finally done, we had to tilt the wardrobe upwards so we can add on the shelf compartments and the clothing rails. The tilting of the wardrobe was scary because that thing was h-e-a-v-y and I was afraid that once it collapses, Fi would get struck by it or something, hahahaha. It’s so funny now that I think about it. And just when I saw the insides of the wardrobe, I went all, “Oh my God. Shit. Shit. Shit.”

There were protruding nails on the insides of the wardrobe. T_T

Can’t believe I failed so miserably. It was really an ugly sight. I got so disappointed and Fi was comforting me by my side with her, “Awww…… it’s okay. Once you put in the shelves you won’t be able to see it anymore.” *Sniff*

Alas, I had to use a bit of help from Kin still in removing the protruding nails and fixing the doors to the wardrobe. But hey, we girls completed 90% of the job nonetheless! *Proud* Thank you so much for you help, Fi!!!

Now, here is a photo of the new addition to the bedroom – bedside table (both assembled by Fi and myself), and camwhore shots of (no, not myself!) some chrysanthemums! I bought some chrysanthemums from the supermarket earlier this week since our lilies have withered. They’re a pretty bunch of pink and it’s wonderful seeing how flowers can add so much life to a room. Photos of the new wardrobe will be added next week, hopefully! Enjoy these for now!

I Finally Did It!

I finally snipped it off! Approximately 20 inches snip snip snip and gone! Just like that. The hairdresser asked if I was really willing to cut it all off or not, since it’s so very long right now and I said yeah, I haven’t had a haircut for about three years now so just go ahead. It’s time for a new hairstyle, really.

By the way, I took like a gazillion photos before I made an appointment to have my hair cut today commemorating the times when my hair was long. So be warned, because there are a handful of camwhore shots coming up next, hahahaha. (Finally! A chance to post all my vain pics up! HAHAHAHA!)

Meet Koko

Everybody, meet Koko!

We’ve been looking for a new pet to adopt since we moved into the new place. Since our neighbors also gently reminded us that dogs would keep the thieves away, it just gives us one more valid reason to adopt a pet dog 😉

We went to the petshop after work today to take a look at our “potential” pet dog. I wasn’t sure if we were going to get it, you know, in case he doesn’t look as cute as he did in the one and only blurry photo the pet shop posted online. 😛

But guess what? He’s actually a lot cuter in real life! It was a tough choice since his “roommate” was a Golden Retriever x Labrador puppy – it was super duper beautiful and cute. But we chose the Beagle instead because a medium-sized dog would be more practical for us. Plus his sad puppy face is simply irresistible. Awww…

I’m sure this new addition in our home will give us more joy, laughter and love. Now I gotta start preparing myself for puppy training lessons!

Boombox Tour 2011

So I went to my very first concert in Perth last month – Official Boombox Tour 2011 Perth with the sole purpose of seeing Nigahiga & Kevjumba in real life, hahahaha!

The concert was held in Murdoch auditorium but getting there was SUCH A PAIN. The concert was scheduled to start at 6:30pm, but at 5:50pm, I was still stuck in a traffic jam in the heavy rain. I reached home about 10 minutes past six to pick my brother up and changed into a warmer outfit.

As we got into the car, I thought to myself, getting there shouldn’t be difficult so I suppose we can get there on time. But noooo, I was so, so wrong! I couldn’t find the effin’ place at all! I drove along Farrington Road for a few times, missing the turning several times because there was no street lights, no road signs and next to the road was a jungle! Ugh! I even drove to a recreation centre and thought that must be it but it wasn’t. T_T

Good thing we still managed to find the place after several interrupting calls to Meng & Fiona who were already there, phew!

*Drumrolls* Presenting Kevjumba & Nigahiga as the hosts of the night! Aww you guys are awfully cute. Ahem.

Maribelle Anes from Melbourne. Believe it or not she’s only 15 years old.

Maribelle strumming her guitar.

Andrew Garcia from American Idol!!! He has an amaaaazing voice. Loved it when he sang Maroon 5’s songs ‘cos those were the only ones I knew how to sing along to 😐

Hahahahahaha Nigahiga & Kevjumba in their bumblebee outfits. Gotta love their cool shades. Me wants.

Kevjumba with his fans. “OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU KEVJUMBA!” I feel old ‘cos instead of being one of those crazy fans up the front, I was just staying put at my seat enjoying the view.

What’s with the pose? Lol!!!

Go team Bumblebee!

When Nigahiga declared his love for twins, we know it was time for the most talented and beautiful twins to perform.

None other than jayesslee.

Can I say they were aweeeesome? Just love ’em!
